The
Rank and Dan certifying branch of SMAC is the "Southern
Martial Arts Certification Association". Its purpose
is to identify, and by request, certify students and instructors
practicing the various styles of martial arts. The SMACA
will also charter martial arts schools and clubs that function
as participants in any SMAC activities. In addition, SMACA
provides technical advice, recommends promotions, and presents
awards to students and instructors up to, and including,
beginner to the Master level.
The
Southern Martial Arts Certification Association chooses
to only present certifications and charters to those individuals
and schools that have been deemed valid and credible by
the SMAC Board of Directors.
This multi-style entity sanctions and executes all areas
of certification via the sovereign powers of SMAC, its executive
Board of Directors and its corporate affiliate "Southern
Martial Arts, Inc".
